Setting up FETCH for use with Perigee

What is FETCH?

Fetch is a Macintosh based File Transfer Protocol client. Through the use of FETCH 3.0.3, one can send files from their local machine to any other machine in the world. Just like the Macintosh, FETCH 3.0.3 has been designed for simple "drag and drop" usage.

How do I obtain FETCH 3.0.3?

FETCH 3.0.3 is available for the MAC and Power MAC from the following site, ftp://ftp.dartmouth.edu/pub/mac/Fetch_3.0.3.hqx.
(You will need Stuffit Expander to decode and extract this file.)

How do I use FETCH 3.0.3 with Perigee?

After launching the Fetch application, you will need to input the host name for Perigee which is www.perigee.net. You will also need to input your user name and password. Remember to leave the directory space blank, the system will recognize you, the user, and automatically send you to your personal directory.

After clicking OK, you will see a similar screen:

To FTP your file to your personal Perigee directory, click on the "PUT FILE" button. You will now be asked to locate the desired file. Once the file is selected click OK. You will be asked to select a format for your file:

Your file will be automatically transferred to your directory.
